March 27, 2014

I've been working on this block over a month. Lots of other things going on! I still need to do the centers of the flowers.

When I got home from Hampton, Thing Two wanted to learn to make felt sheep, too.

Didn't it turn out cute?

Here's a photo of me (white glover extraordinaire) in front of my quilt in Hampton.

Finished an adorable baby quilt for a niece soon arriving, blocks I won last month.

Just got this commission back from the longarmer. Now to trim and bind this big quilt.

March 12, 2014

I was featured on Bobbi Finley's blog today! This quilting world is pretty small. A friend of hers saw my quilt in Hampton, and sent a photo to Bobbi. Since she is also a member of Baltimore Applique Society, she looked me up and contacted me to get permission to use my quilt on her blog. How flattering!

March 3, 2014

I was busy last week with lots of little projects.

I'm terrified  of doing the flowers on this block so it's been temporarily set aside.

January and February blocks of the month. I won  the pink ones...will make a nice baby quilt for my new niece due any day.

I rarely do paper piecing.  This is a block for our annual anniversary quilt top. I love the results but hate the process.

A birthday block for a bee member.

Another birthday block for a different bee member.

And lastly a little badge holder for Hampton. It held my phone, a pen, some biz cards, too.

Shopping for treasures today  at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival today.

One piece of yardage for community quilts, some door prizes, fat quarters, patterns, hand dyes.

Applique needles, antique sewing treasures and lots of fun embellishments.  I had way too much fun digging through TwoBirdBabes' booth.

February 27, 2014

I took a class at the Mid-Atlantic quilt festival today. It was needle felting with Deborah Konchinsky of Critter Pattern Works.

I had a lot of fun learning a new-to-me technique!

February 20, 2014

A drum bag repair.  I replaced a zipper, and added some appliques to cover a rip.

I added blanket stitching around the applique edges to hold it down.
